Post Op Week 35!

The past couple of weeks, we have gone back to the basics.
We decided that Cliff needs a little support so he can walk farther and build endurance.
So as usual, we came up with the "perfect" balance (for now).
Cliff wears his braces for 2-3 hours a day when he is most active.
They help give him the support he needs.
Balance.
It is so important.

And the Boy did wonderful.
He was able to perform the exercises that were so difficult for him right after his surgery with ease now.

Leg lifts.
This is still challenging for Cliff, but soon he will be able to crank these out with no problem.

Side stepping.
He is getting stronger everyday.

Check out Cliff's new kicks.
Yep.
Lightning McQueen and Mater kicks.
And yes the do light up. As ugly as they are, the Boy believes he can walk faster in these shoes - so as much as they drive me nuts, he wears them everyday now.

Stepping up.
He can actually do this now with out being scared.
He is strong, courageous, amazing.

Cliff is learning to open doors.
Taking initiative to complete everyday tasks that just a few months ago he was unable to perform.

And every time he accomplishes what seems like a very basic task to us,
this is the look on his face.
Pride.

After a hard PT session, Cliff is now able to walk down the ramp...

...and to our car!

He is amazing.
Cliff is living proof of God's love for us.
Ciff is a miracle.

  7. I love seeing pics of Cliff doing so well!

Noah has learned to open the chain lock on our front door! We had to install another one up higher where he can't reach it so we can keep him inside. Kinda scary (but good at the same time) that he is learning to do so much!
