If you are a shorty like me, then every time you buy a new pair of pants, they look like this:
I am definitely not a professional seamstress, but I am waaay to cheap to pay someone else to hem my pants. So, this is what I do about it:
I fold the pants up to the length I want them to be (see the right side).
Then I put a pin in the pants where I want the bottom of them to be.
I measure one inch below the pin and chop the bottoms of the pants off.
Fold in 1/2 an inch and iron. Then fold in 1/2 inch again and iron.
Stitch around the cuff of the pants using a 5/8 seam allowance and....
Then your pants are the perfect length!
Yay for new pants that are the right length without paying a seamstress!
