My favorite birthday memory: Hope it doesn't have to be my birthday. It would have to be when we surprised my grandmother on her 88th. She had no idea we were planning it. Some of us came from 11 hours away, and her sister whom she hadn't seen in several years even showed up. Her expression as it registered that we were ALL there and all there for her is a beautiful memory for all of us. That party was one of the things we all talked about last year when she passed away at 98.
