Got this ugly pail for 75 cents at the thrift store:
I gave it a weathered look and this is how I did it:
Give it a good coat of spray paint and immediately wipe with a paper towel:
This causes the paint to settle in the cracks.
See?
Then you end up with a pretty pail that is not ugly brass anymore!
I am not too sure where I will put this in my house yet. I could fill it with decorative balls or a pretty plant (yea right... that would live for 5 seconds around here!) or maybe I will store it with all of my "party" stuff, fill it with ice and use it to chill wine! Who knows what purpose it will serve, but as soon as I use it, I will be sure to share with you!
