Christmas Stockings!
Cliff and Harper's Stockings are from Pottery Barn!
This year I decided I wanted to make me and Ross new stockings that look like something we might have had when we were little (Christmas brings out the kid in me!):
Ok, Ok, Ross's was not originally going to be camo...
I had my super cutie Christmas colored fabrics (See? on my stocking) laid out on the floor in the den and was making my pattern for our stockings. Ross asked "Whatcha making babe?!" and I said "Making new stockings for us!" His face lit up and he said "I have a great idea!" I shuttered as he ran out the door towards his tool room... I thought "what in the world could be out THERE that could have anything to do with Christmas Stockings?!"... and then it happened... He came back inside beaming with joy as he laid THIS on the floor:
Of course I wanted to say "No way, No how, Not gonna, Won't do it, No, No, NO, I will NOT!" But I bit my tongue (VERY difficult for me to do! ha!) and said "Oh! Wow! Alrighty Then!"... and then I began cutting thinking "Ok, How can I get out of THIS ONE?!" I thought for a minute and then I decided to embrace the *GASP* Camoflauge and just go with it! So I did! Ross is so happy and I must admit it's not as bad as I thought it would be!
... I just hope Cliff doesn't ask for a Camo stocking anytime soon...
Wanna know how I made our new stockings?! Well maybe, just MAYBE I will share a little tutorial with you in the next few days!
They both turned out wonderful! I know a few hunters that would LOVE the camo stocking.
ReplyDeleteI made our stockings too!! But i've only done one, the first one came out too small so I had to redo my pattern, they are elf shoes!! I'll post them on fb when i'm finished!
